Ode to the night Flaneur by Debra Watson

Debra Watson is a performance poet based in the UK. Her practice includes an interest in performing intimate 1-2-1 multi-sensory readings and experimental performances using poetry as text. She has performed intimate, multi-sensory and multi-media work in the UK, Europe and South Africa, combining her performance practices and interest in participative art practices with poetry. Her academic essay on performance and audience responses to 1-2-1 and intimate readings was published in ‘Spoken Word in the UK; in April 2021 as part of an anthology of essays mapping out current UK spoken word practices. She is currently exploring the notion of eco-grief in relation to effects of climate change. She is an active member of Poets for the Planet.
