Festival FAQ details:
What is the festival?
Full House Literary Festival is a 24-hour live online festival to celebrate the world of writing, literature, creativity, and passion. The festival will feature a variety of guests and include events such as open mics, readings, and workshops. All profits will be going directly towards a charity and tickets will be on a suggested donation basis.
When is the festival happening?
The festival will run for 24 hours starting on the 10th of September at 7:00pm (UK time) and running through to the 11th of September.
Where and how is the festival being hosted?
The festival is being hosted online via Zoom so that people from anywhere can access the festival. The festival event links will be sent across once tickets to those events have been chosen by the interested attendee.
When are guests being announced?
Guests are being announced daily and a full list of guests will be released on the 10th of August, alongside tickets!
How do tickets work and when can I buy them?
Tickets will be available from the 10th of August with all money raised going towards charity. Some events will be completely free, some events will have a suggested donation of at least £1, or we’ll have an all access ticket available for £10. The goal is to raise as much money as possible while still being as accessible as possible so do let us know by emailing us if you have any queries or want to chat about this!
Will events be recorded?
There will be some events recorded that will be able to be accessed after but this will be dependent on the guest hosting the event and so will vary from event to event.
What is the money going towards?
The money is going towards charities that support education for young people. Our chosen UK charity is First Story (https://firststory.org.uk/) and we will pick an equivalent US/worldwide based charity and share the money 50/50 between the two charities.
What safety measures will be in place?
We will have a secure zoom link that can only be accessed by ticket holders, and will have moderators carefully monitoring attendees and only accepting in participants that are joining for the festival. We will also carefully be monitoring events to make sure they are as safe as possible and attendees are protected.
What accessibility measures will be in place?
Each event will have a live transcript and we will work our best to make sure it is as accurate as possible. When pictures or images are used, we will encourage guests to use image descriptions for the image used. If you have any accessibility requirements that we could put in place that would be beneficial for you, please do let us know what we can do.
